Member Appreciation PromotionTo show our appreciation for your continued support of Maple River, we are giving 4 free 18-hole rounds of golf to each Member. We hope you decide to take advantage of this promotion by inviting friends, family co-workers etc. for a round of golf and letting them see first hand why you chose to be a Member at Maple River. Memorial Garden planned.The Board has decided to build a Member Memorial Garden near the 11th hole. Betty Estenson (Virgil) has donated $500 towards the Garden as well as a beatiful plaque of Virgil that will be placed near the Garden when completed. We would like to thank her for her very kind donation. Money donated over the past two years will be used towards this project as well. We would like to thank Betty and all the other Members that donated money to this project. Cart Shed and Hole #1Please continue to use the road when driving to and from the cart shed. Hole #1 is now open for carts (90 digree rule) from the 150 yard stake to the green. There is still no access to the clubhouse outside of the road or the cart path between holes 1 and 18. New Board of Directors elected at 2009 Annual Meeting.At the Annual Meeting held Saturday, March 14th the following Members were elected to the MRGC Board of Directors... Paul Boese (3 year term), Wendy Burger (3 year term), Troy Stone (2 year non-stock holder term) and Peggy Kringlie (2 year non-stock holder term). Here is a complete listing of the Board Members and Positions held within the Board. Paul Boese - President, Jim Johnson - Vice President, Mike Western - Treasurer, Wendy Burger - Secretary. The other Board Members are Jay Dahlin, Cary Wold, Lars Dyrdahl, Troy Stone, and Peggy Kringlie. Reid Mattson is the first alternate. Special Thanks to departing Board members.We would like to extend a big "Thank You" to Dave Baumann and Rich England for their time and commitment to the Board of Directors over the past few years. It's Members like these that have made MRGC a success since the Club was created over 40 years ago. Their selfless contributions of time and effort have helped us become the golf club we are today. You will notice an increase of approx. 5% on all annual memberships as well as slight increases in other Member Fees. These small increases are necessary in order to provide you with the course conditions and amenities you have come to expect at Maple River Golf Club.
